Trump administration has US airlines’ back in Chinese censorship, will there be a pan-Korean open skies agreement?
– airlines must love the Trump administration even more – it has their backs in the Chinese attempt to censor airline maps
“This is Orwellian nonsense and part of a growing trend by the Chinese Communist party to impose its political views on American citizens and private companies,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said.
Sanders said the Trump administration was calling on Beijing “to stop threatening and coercing American carriers and citizens”.
Chain has too much to loose with many mainland airlines competing hard for transpacific business from the US. I can’t see a scenario where China will add sanctions for US airlines that won;t be reciprocated by US authorities. Nice try though!
– amazing how quickly things change in North Korea suddenly – ahead of the summit the company talks about open skies between South Korea and North Korea – maybe we will see a Korean spring this year?
