Flyers noticed something was wrong yesterday when trying to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to Korean Air – the airline was simply no longer appearing on the site.
If you log in to Chase Ultimate Rewards, this transfer option just does not show there anymore. With no official confirmation from Chase or Korean Air yet, we had to speculate on what was happening – that was until Lucky at One Mile at a Time spoke to Chase representatives.
Lucky called the number on the back of his Chase Sapphire Preferred and the agent said that the Chase/Korean Air partnership would be on hold until further notice. He then called the number on the back of his Ink Plus and the agent said that the partnership with Korean Air ended November 16th!
One unlucky FlyerTalker was in the middle of transferring to Korean Air for his honeymoon and managed to transfer his points – but was unable to then transfer his wife's points.
We'll update this developing story as we learn more, but it doesn't look like it'll have a happy ending…
