Marriott is running a promotion for the Shanghai and Ningbo properties with extra reward points.

Choose from more than 20 ideal locations for a rewarding summer stay.

From May 27 – July 19, 2014, earn 2,000 Marriott Rewards bonus points per stay, 7 days a week.

It includes the Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Center which I positively reviewed in October as well as the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Garden Hotel which I also reviewed.

Marriott has so many properties in Shanghai it's easy to 'hotel-hop' and stay every night in a different place and get 2,000 every night.

Try to find a lower rate and use the Marriott BRG (make sure you do not use a 'voucher-site') to lower your nightly rate.
