While the lodge itself was rebuilt from the ground up, painstaking efforts were made to preserve and integrate original materials and design elements salvaged from the rubble. Local sandstone, ironbark and recycled timbers were repurposed alongside custom furnishings that mirror the old aesthetic. The end result artfully blends old and new in a way that stays true to the heritage of Southern Ocean Lodge.
