Photo Review – Lufthansa Lounge Athens Airport

Athens is a major Star Alliance destination and Lufthansa has invested into their own lounge (right next to the Aegean Airlines lounge) at Athens airport a few years ago.

The lounge is just two large rooms. Several areas were blocked off due to 'social distancing' and the buffet areas now have lounge attendants serving food. This does not leave a lot of space for passengers. I reckon about 25 passengers can comfortably sit there.







The interior has been updated recently and looks great.





With several Star Alliance departures, it got rather busy but never raucous. I liked the food buffet -it was presented well and several items seemed fresh and had a decent taste, there is also a full bar.























The Wifi worked fast (despite the crowds) and was easy to connect to.
