Etihad Airways Guest and Gulf Air Falconflyer Frequent Flyer Partnership
Etihad Guest has formed a new partnership with Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain that will allow members to earn and redeem miles reciprocally on all flights across both networks. The partnership expands on the codeshare agreement between the two airlines and provides further cooperation between the frequent flyer programs. The number of miles earned will depend upon the class of travel flown.
“Gulf Air entered into a strategic codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways in March 2019. As an additional value proposition, we are delighted to build upon our successful partnership by further providing our Falconflyer members with the opportunity to earn and spend their Gulf Air miles on the Etihad Airways’ network.” Vincent Coste, the chief commercial officer for Gulf Air said in a press statement
The newly formed partnership provides Gulf Air guests with access to a broader network of destinations, particularly to North America where they can take advantage of Etihad’s USA pre-clearance.
Etihad Airways joins Worldwide by EasyJet
In addition to the new partnership with Gulf Air, Etihad Airways has become the latest carrier to join the Worldwide by EasyJet. This helps passengers connect their networks. This agreement is in effect starting January 14, 2020.
“This new collaboration between two great brands is a logical leap forward for both our companies. easyJet is a perfect launch partner for us in Europe, allowing us to reliably increase the breadth of our continental reach to and from Abu Dhabi, as we enhance ways of connecting directly with more airlines and travel partners around the world.” Ali Saleh, Etihad Airways Vice President Alliances and Partnerships, said in an official press statement
Other airlines that have signed up to the EasyJet platform include Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Norwegian, and WestJet.
