IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card – best redemptions

Pointbreaks

Aptly named Pointbreaks often provide a number of 5 Star properties like the Indigo and Intercontinental brands.  You can of course book four nights and pay only for three.

Eastern Europe and Asia have a good number of Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn that can be booked for 15,000-25,000 points a night. You typically get 0.7 cents or more for a redemption there. Again the fourth night will be free improving the value.

On the high end the InterContinental Hotels Resort And Spa Moorea, Tahiti is at 50,000 points. I quite liked the property when I went to Tahiti in 2017.

Chase has gotten rather picky with approvals and has introduced a number of rules.

You can only have one IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card per person at one time.

You can not have received a bonus within the last 48 months for this card.

You can NOT have opened more than 5 credit cards in the last 24 months with ANY credit card issuer. However in reality Chase may only see a fraction of the cards opened with other issuers.
