Qantas to codeshare with Air New Zealand, 2,500 Hyatt points in an easy promotion, Norwegian drops Oakland, British Airways to pay you back Avios
– bad news for passengers in Australia/ New Zealand the (former) rivals Air New Zealand and Qantas will set up a codeshare agreement (read revenue share)
Airfares and airport taxes are already sky high in the region – something that will only get worse.
– one of Norwegian’s first routes to the US was Stockholm to Oakland and it is now being discontinued (as is Las Vegas to Stockholm)
– pretty amazing – British Airways has decided to settle a class action lawsuit for their high fuel surcharges and is paying YOU (if you have a US account and the passenger had a US address) Avios or cash of you had:
You booked an Avios redemption (100% Avios, not ‘cash and Avios’) between 9th November 2006 and 17th April 2013
You will get:
12,500 Avios for one redemption
20,000 Avios for between two and five redemptions
