– Point Breaks is back and the list is huge this time (200 hotels) and there are a lot of Intercontinentals on this list
I like the new ‘higher categories’ as this seemed to have enabled higher quality hotels to green light a participation. I just redeemed 100,000 IHG points for Pointbreaks – haven’t done that in a long time!
– Interjet is adding San Francisco from both Cancun and Guadalajara hubs starting march 14th!
Interjet is a big behind Volaris and has had trouble with the Superjet fleet lately. Traveling from San Francisco to many Mexican airports used to be pain and/or expensive just a few years ago.
Suddenly Alaska, Aeromexico, Volaris, Interjet, Southwest and United compete for the primary routes to Mexico City, Cancun, Guadalajara and Cabo. Air fares are now close to $200 Round Trip compared to $500+ before.
– Emirates is back with a $799 companion offer for two from New York to Milan and Athens
Emirates is a quality airline even in Economy with a wide(r) seat pitch. The food is decent and you can even just buy lounge access these days. Their huge A380s are often half empty so you get a whole row in the middle more often than not.
I found plenty of availability when I just searched. I wish they had a West Coast flight to Europe as well.
