Indian and Indonesia have many similarities. The similar sounding name, the similar sounding currencies, the crazy traffic and it is also the place to get excellent value for your travel dollar.
Both countries feature some of the best value hotels worldwide – and even major chain hotels provide excellent value with many new 4 or 5 star hotels that can be had around $75 a night without any craziness.
Here are some new additions to the rapidly growing hotel infrastructure in both countries
This new hotel joins the Sheraton and Hyatt Regency Yogykarta. The city has a lot of tourist attractions (given it’s size) with Borobodur, Prambanan, the Sultan palace and the underground mosque two excellent monuments to see and often sees some of the lowest rates for a chain hotel worldwide.
Indore is getting a new Marriott as well. It is also a Category 2 property and will likely see rates well under $100 when it opens.
Jaipur is the city of palaces and the new JW Marriott Jaipur comes in a palatial design. The resort comes as a category 3 property and will likely be on sale for about $100 rates soon. Compare this to the hotel rate madness in Silicon Valley where a motel like, barely working Courtyard will see rates of $350 every weekday and be a Category 6 property.
