Turkish $940 Business RT to Guangzhou, Qatar cancels Kigali route, Alaska to speed up inflight WiFi, Qatar 48h sales, Mexico City Airport gets a pod hotel, new Marriott Megabonus

– Turkish Airlines has really good Business Class fares from St. Petersburg (City Guide) to Guangzhou, China for $940 Round Trip

Fares book into J which earns 100%-150% on most Star Alliance programs. The Round Trip comes out to 12,000 miles.

Qatar is canceling their flights to Kigali, Rwanda (City Guide) after the airline lost their 5th freedom rights to Entebbe (my Review of the Qatar flight to Kigali)

– Alaska is equipping their whole fleet with faster Satellite based WiFi that will also work over the Pacific (including flights to Hawaii).

It will take a while though until we get to enjoy the fast WiFi.

Qatar is running a 48 sales – scroll down to see the list if destinations included

– Mexico City Airport is getting a pod hotel – a great alternative to the shuttling around the airport to get to your airport hotel as I did for my DoubleTree by Hilton Mexico City Airport Area Review

– Marriott is out with the new MegaBonus fall promotion – Register in your Promotion Central – it can only help if you have a stay coming up
