– South African Airways is finally staring to cut unprofitable routes – something they should have done years ago

The cut destinations include Brazzaville and Pointe Noire (Republic of the Congo), and Libreville (Gabon), while flights from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo to Durban King Shaka, Cape Town and East London could be reduced.

– Emirates now transports 265,000 passengers from the UK – that was in July 2017

With an average Round Trip ticket value of $800 this is a solid $200 million they originate a yearly business of $2.5 billion.

– the new Saudi LCC called ‘Flyadeal’ is launching next month

I don’t think all these projects can survive without Saudi relaxing their visa rules. Let’s hope that will happen – the visions are indeed grand.

– China Eastern is on a roll with much improved first half of 2017 results and with a new destination Clark, north of Manila
