– the MERRILL+ 50,000 bonus credit card is back

It is hard to get approved for this card unless you have EXCELLENT relationships with Bank of America but the $1,000 in rewards form the sign up bonus make it well worth it.

– Iberia is running a 25% less redemption, 25% higher earning promotion

Redemptions on Iberia work very similar to BA Avios (the promotion only covers flights on their own metal) and with similar rates. Business Class flights from the US East Coast can be good value in Avios but you will have to pay the fuel surcharges.

You can transfer to Iberia Avios from Avios.com or BA Executive Club (all 1:1) or from American Express Membership Rewards for a 250:200 ratio.

– Finally – Etihad is giving out free WiFi to Premium passengers (something they should have done long ago), and you may get an iPad too, gotta love the new US security rules

– if you have an existing HSBC relationship you might be able to get one of their 40,000 Bonus credit cards (they allow points transfer to a number of airlines)
