75,000 Citi Hilton Honors (no annual fee), IHG 100% Buy Points bonus, Air Asia cancels Mauritius, Emirates buying narrow body planes now?
– Citibank is back with the 75,000 Hilton Honors no fee credit card
Yes you read that right – no annual fee – all you need to do is spend $2,000 in the first 3 months after approval. This card is a no brainer and you should get the sign up bonus if you have not had a Citibank Honors earning card in the past 24 months.
– IHG Rewards Club has a 100% bonus when you buy points (might be targeted but it worked just fine for me)
This is one of the few points buying promotions I usually always participate in (the other one is Club Carlson). It makes a lot of sense for properties that have a low category assignment but high average rate (i.e. the Holiday Inn Ghana)
– Air Asia X has decided to cancel flights from Mauritius from on March 2017 – that’s sad news – this was one of the few options going east from Mauritius
– Emirates is now considering narrow-body planes – OMG no more A380 for the 45 minute flights to Doha
