How to play the Country Inn free night, Chase United Business Explorer 50,000 credit card is back, 15% off TrueBlue redemptions & Vietnam Airlines plans
– Country Inns & Suites By Carlson has a new promotion that gives you a free night after a two night stay at any Country Inns & Suites By Carlson hotel in the U.S, Canada or Latin America for stays arriving between January 1, 2017 through March 10, 2017 (“Voucher Stay”).
The promotion requires you to book a special rate that is about 20$ higher than the prepaid rate (but usually lower than the Best Flexible rate).
Keep in mind that you can combine this with the Club Carlson offer of Double Points AND 5,000 Aeroplan miles.
$180 therefore give you a hotel bed for two nights, a free night in 2017, 5,000 Aeroplan miles and ~8,000 Club Carlson points. Not a bad haul!
– Vietnam Airlines is planning to put an A350 on a new Los Angeles route finally
In its application to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for exemption authority as well as a Foreign Air Carrier Permit (FACP), Vietnam Airlines said it expected to begin service on or about October 30, 2018, with daily return flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Los Angeles Int’l using A350-900 equipment initially.
Vietnam Airlines has said it may change both the preferred route and launch date should the need arise.
Under the terms of the Vietnam-United States Air Services Agreement, the Vietnamese government, in 2007, designated the following cities in the US it wishes to serve on a regular basis alongside Los Angeles: San Francisco, CA; Seattle Tacoma Int’l; New York; Washington Dulles; and Dallas/Fort Worth.
As intermediary points, it specified Taipei Taoyuan, Taiwan and Nagoya Chubu, Japan while beyond travel points were listed as Vancouver Int’l, Montréal Trudeau, and Toronto Pearson in Canada. No local traffic rights between Japan and the United States have been granted.
I have never redeemed TrueBlue points but for everyone who got in the promo earlier this year this is awesome!
