Business Class Flights Deals – The basics
When you subscribe to Mighty Travels Premium we will send you a combination of links to our spreadsheets that have all flight deals sorted by Cents Per Mile (CPM). CPM is an indicator for how cheap a flight is based on the distance in between two airports. It does not mean you will earn miles for your flight.
Each link downloads a specific set of deals that is updated daily in the morning hours (Pacific Time).
When you open the link and open the file in Excel or OpenOffice (recommended) you will something like that.
As you will see certain regions tend to have much cheaper Business Class deals than others. The Middle East, India, Sri Lanka and South Africa currently have very low Business Class Fares in general. There are simply fewer buyers for fares in these countries and some of the currencies have depreciated quickly (right now that is South Africa).
All the fares we list have been bookable (but might have expired since we found it) and are for Round Trips. The prices indicated are including all taxes and fees and usually 7 seats are available.
For Business Class fares we only list one date although most Business Class fares are available for several weeks or months (they are less restricted than Economy fares usually).
Some of these deals can be good enough to actually travel around the world just for a deal (like many did with the recent $344 RT Algiers to Fuzhou Business Class Fare).
Business Class Flights Deals – How to search for your deals
In order to find interesting fares you can filter and sort the results using the spreadsheet tools – here are some examples.
1) Find all fares from San Francisco
OpenOffice (and Excel) have a wonderful filter function that allows you to search exactly what you need.
First select the whole spreadsheet with Control+A (or Apple+A).
Then find the filter section as outlined:
Then set a (standard) filter for your search:
2) Find all fares on Delta
We can use the same technique to find Delta fares. Keep in mind that sometimes we list fares as ‘Multiple Airlines’ even though they might be 99% on one airline.
3) Find all fares to Jakarta under 20 CPM
It is easy to combine two filters to select multiple criteria.
Business Class Flights Deals per region
While it is convenient to fly from one airport I personally consider going to airport in my departure region if the deal is good enough. For instance while I’m based in San Francisco I can certainly fly from Los Angeles or Seattle but would not ‘position myself’ to Boston just for a cheap flight.
That’s where the regional files come in – instead of searching for several departure airports we have defined departure regions for you. These work much like the regions we know from award charts.
Currently we publish these spreadsheets for Business Class Deals every day.
– US/Canada East Coast
– US Central & Hawaii
– US/Canada West Coast
– Central America & Caribbean
– Central & North Asia
– Middle East
– South-East Asia
– South America
– Australia & Oceania
So here is how the West Coast file looks like today.
You will quickly see that deals are almost twice as expensive (as measured by distance flown) compared to the Middle East or other more affordable departure regions.
Business Class Flights Deals – Real Time availability and Booking
In order to quickly check real time availability and book we provide deep links to your favorite booking site in each spreadsheet.
With one click you can start a search for the fares on several websites – here are the results.
In our example Swiss Air turns out to be the winner with the excellent Swiss Air lie-flat Business Class (Review) product for just $3,364. Not exactly a mileage run but if you have to go anyways this is a good option!
