What’s the scoop with free birthday meals?

Most of us love food and when there’s a discount or freebie to have, it always make the food taste that little bit sweeter. There are discounts out there for you to enjoy at plenty of establishments, including free meals, drinks, entrees, desserts, money off coupons and gift certificates and not only on your birthday – sometimes you can eat for free simply for signing up for email offers.

Where can I find free birthday meals deals?

A simple Google search or checking particular chain websites can help you to find deals where you can eat free food on your birthday (and on other days). An excellent resource that we use is Hustler Money Blog, which lists lots of e-club restaurant offers that you usually have to sign up for in advance and where you may have to print out a voucher. Take a look at some of the restaurants where you can get a free meal or gift voucher to cover some of the expense:

bd’s Mongolian Grill – Free meal on your birthday (and $5 off your first visit when you sign up to join Club Mongo). Hustler states that the free meal is a stir fry dish.

Big Daddy’s Burger Bar – Subscribe to get 15% off your next visit and a free birthday meal.

The Burger Joint – Get a VIP card and accumulate 9 points to earn a free burger. You get 1 point per dollar spent here, so you need to spend $9 to get this freebie.

Famous Dave’s Barbeque – Sign up to get a free burger or sandwich – plus you also get a free meal on your birthday.

Hooters – A new e-club is under construction, but in the past, Hooters have offered 10 free chicken wings on your birthday when you sign up at least 7 days in advance.

Houlihan’s – Join the club to get $10 off and then a free entree on your birthday.

Johnny Rockets – My favorite US burger joint gives you a free hamburger on your next visit and another on your birthday! It’s not completely free, though, as you need to purchase an entree and a drink to get either freebie.

Rainforest Cafe – You can enjoy a $25 welcome reward and a $25 birthday reward here when you join Landry’s Select Club.

It’s always worth exploring a restaurant’s website in advance of eating there, in case you can profit from their generosity (and marketing ploys).

What else do I need to know about free birthday meals?

Always check directly with a restaurant that a deal is still in place by calling or taking a look at their website before making a special trip there, especially in case an offer has been withdrawn or replaced.
