What’s the scoop with United Airlines flights?

United Airlines has now added a daily transatlantic summer-season non-stop service between New York’s Newark Liberty International Airport and Athens, Greece, to commence in May 2016. Subject to government approval, these flights are now in the pipeline:

  • New York Newark Liberty (EWR) to Athens, Greece (ATH), between May 25th and October 5th, 2016 (daily, non-stop).
  • Washington Dulles (IAD) and Barcelona, Spain (BCN), between May 25th and September 6th, 2016 (daily, non-stop).
  • Washington Dulles (IAD) and Lisbon, Portugal (LIS), between May 25th and September 6th, 2016 (daily, non-stop).

Tell me a little more about these United Airlines flights…

The service between Newark Liberty and Athens will operate using Boeing 767-300 aircraft, while the Barcelona flights will operate with Boeing 767-400’s and the Lisbon flights will be on Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
