The Citi/ AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard was one of the best deals of 2014 – many of you have gotten several cards with the 100,000 miles sign up bonus last year.
The offer changed a bit from last year – only $7,500 in spending is required (instead of $10,000) but manufactured spending has gotten harder since spring last year.
The card always came with a $450 annual fee but with last year’s offer it was offset by a $200 statement credit on your first purchase. This seems to be missing this year.
Global Entry and a TSA Precheck credit has been added though – however many of you will already have Global Entry (it is valid for 5 years). Note that the person signing up for Global Entry does not have to be you – if you sign up a family member the charge will also be credited back.
The card still has Admirals Club Membership included – I can’t say I value Admirals Club membership so high as to be worth $450 a year.
However if you value the club membership with say – $200 – than you are paying $250 for 75,000 miles – not a bad deal at all!
