This is as cheap as it gets – many domestic transcons cost that much but China Airlines takes you from LAX to their hub in Taipei and on to Bangkok return for just $598.81.
China Airlines isn’t my favorite but hey it’s a trip to one of my favorite destinations. I wrote a guide about the TOP Things to Do in Bangkok in February.
It’s an S fare and will likely not earn any miles outside of China Airlines program (even there I’m not sure) so don’t do it for the miles.
Fare Class for this trip: S
Miles to be flown: ~16,691
Where to credit your miles: no miles
