Tell me more about AAdvantage Dining…
Same in concept as Delta SkyMiles Dining, which we’ve written about before, AAdvantage Dining is a program that allows members to earn bonus miles or points for eating out at thousands of participating restaurants, bars and clubs.
Both SkyMiles Dining and AAdvantage Dining belong to the Rewards Network – the leading dining rewards programs in North America – which is why the sites resemble each other. Rewards Network works in conjunction with major airline frequent flyer programs and other companies to let you earn additional miles or points at participating restaurants.
AAdvantage Dining is free to join and it’s simple to earn as you dine. The program is even discreet – you don’t need a membership card and you don’t need to hand over a voucher at the end of your meal; you just eat and earn miles with the credit or debit card that you register with. Even the restaurant won’t know that you’re earning miles there!
Dining rewards programs are often a great way to use the double dipping system on earning miles and points. Just use a points-earning credit card that’s linked to your airline or hotel program to pay for your meals and sign up for AAdvantage Dining and you’ll earn two lots of miles when you dine.
What else do I need to know about the AAdvantage Dining deal?
You need to opt-in and give AAdvantage Dining your email address and marketing permission when you join, so that you are then eligible to earn 3 miles or more per dollar spent at participating locations. If you don’t opt-in, you will only earn 1 mile per 2 dollars spent.
