What’s the scoop with UFB Direct Airline Rewards Checking?

Debit cards with travel rewards are few and far between, so the UFB Direct Airline Rewards Checking account that earns airline rewards has been a great MS tool for savvy travelers.

Unfortunately, it was released today that from June 1st 2015 there will be a massive devaluation, which will send most Manufactured Spenders packing.

Whereas in the past you earned one mile per $2 spent, this will now be one mile per $3 spent instead.

However, the major bad news is that the card will no longer be eligible to earn rewards at any of the following merchants:

  • Supermarkets
  • Superstores
  • Grocery stores
  • Wholesale stores
  • Discount stores
  • USPS
  • Any financial or money transfer institutions

What else do I need to know about UFB Direct Airline Rewards Checking?

No longer being able to earn rewards when purchasing money orders from grocery stores or Walmarts changes the game completely.

So from June 1st, RIP UFB Direct Airline Rewards Checking account!
