Today, Air India Express announced a free baggage allowance of 30kg for passengers traveling from Gulf destinations to India.
In addition, passengers can choose to increase the free allowance by 10kg to 40kg total by paying 100 Arab Emirates Dirham (US $27) at an Air India Express office in the UAE or by paying 150 Arab Emirates Dirham (US $41) at the airport at the time of departure (although it is subject to availability with the latter).
