TravelPony is a 'social travel' site that has been around for a little over a year.
The site hooks in new users by offering a sign-up coupon (currently $35 off any $200 booking that you make).
I made a number of bookings in Colombia last year and the site beat other OTA's by about 20% for the hotels in question. For instance, I booked a hotel in El Poblado, Medellin for $100/night that was $145 on Expedia for the same dates/room type. It seems TravelPony has much lower taxes and fees than Expedia & Orbitz have.
Unfortunately, most BRG programs do not accept claims against TravelPony since it is a 'member only' site. On the flip side, this often allows TravelPony to allow a much better deal. Not every hotel is really cheaper, but if you do not use one of the Orbitz or Expedia coupons, TravelPony can be a great deal.
You can sign up through this link and get $35 off (in addition to any other discounts) on a $200 booking.
We have written about the site before and it has generally gathered favorable reviews.
