What is AmEx Small Business Saturday?

Founded in 2010 by American Express, Small Business Saturday was created simply to help small, local businesses get more customers. Held annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the day encourages consumers to shop at small businesses as a holiday shopping tradition.
