The reason to stay here? Points, points, points! A Club Carlson redemption here with the US Bank Club Carlson credit card is great value for New York.

It was just 50,000 points for 2 nights for the Radisson Martinique Hotel in Manhattan. The location is great – in Koreatown just south of the Empire State Building. It's not as hustle-and-bustle as Midtown and you can walk to all the trendy southern Manhattan neighborhoods.

It's also just a block from Penn station – so easy to reach from the airport(s).

The entrance is tiny though and easy to miss – especially with the scaffolding – if the driver would have not pointed it out – I'd never found it.

My check in took a while as the agent was looking for a an upgraded room. Rooms were selling >$400 on Expedia for the same stay dates. So the hotel wasn't exactly empty.

My room was on the small side for most city hotels but pretty decent for NYC. The bath room was rather large.

Breakfast is not included in the points redemption rate. There are so many top-notch coffee shops around incl. Stumptown – it would have been not very wise to not hit them.

There is a tiny gym in the lower lobby with a decent amount of weights and cardio equipment.

There are much better hotels in Manhattan but the Radisson is decent. The location is excellent and the 25,000 per night (if you stay 2 nights and have the Club Carlson credit card) is a fantastic price!
