1. United Routing/Stopover Rules: Travel is Free always gives great advice on mid to upper level travel hacking tips and strategies. In this link, he explains the various routing and stopover rules of United award flights. Great if you are flexible and are willing to stop over in different regions of the world. 2. American Airlines/US Airways Lounge Access: Starting from 3/22/14, American Express Platinum Card holders won't be given complimentary access to American Airline and US Airways lounges. This is a pretty big blow to me because I fly AA so often, and keeps me on the fence whether I want to sign up for this card in calendar year 2013 to get the $450 for $400 trick I detailed here. 3. $25 off of $75 at Amazon: Did you all get in on this? It seems like a no brainer to me: all you have to do is just link your AMEX and buy a $75 gift card from Amazon for $50. This deal looks like it expired a few days ago, but hopefully most of you were able to sign up for it. Link from Million Mile Secrets.
4. US Airways Share Miles Promotion: To me, this is the granddaddy of all miles buying opportunities. Essentially, this promo allows you to purchase US Airways miles at a little more than 1.1 cents per mile. At 90,000 miles for a business class from North America to East Asia, this is essentially like purchasing the $4000+ ticket for a grand. Get this while you can and book quickly as I think this spells the death knell of all of the great sweet spots in the US Airways chart. And yes, I totally linked to my own page: very meta of me, right?
