# IGA Lounge Istanbul Airport Review (incl. Sleeping pods)

The new Istanbul Airport did not only reserve space for the two Turkish Airlines Premium lounges but also for a Skyteam lounge and the massive IGA lounge (accessible for Priority Pass members or by Oneworld/ Other airlines' Premium Cabin passengers).

I was impressed by how huge the lounge was - the entry area comes equipped with a screen where you get your ticket for the lounge check-in. There were 4 agents waiting to check you in and provide Wifi codes - even at the (non-busy) midnight hours.

The IGA Lounge provides showers, 10 minute free massages (8 AM - 5 PM), and a solid bar, warm food, and snacks. I really liked the hot food for the late evening dinner. There were half a dozen wines on offer and several different beers.

The lounge felt full, but never crowded during my two stays.

You will need to use the provided Wifi code - make sure to get one per device!

Both showers and the free massage work by a simple reservation system where you show your intention to the attendant and then simply wait around in the area until your time has come.

I also tried out the IGA Sleeping Pods that are across the main walkway - branded also under the IGA label. With a Priority Pass, you will get three hours of usage per check-in. The sleeping pods will remind you either of a capsule hotel or a Business Class seat. They are surprisingly spacious and comfortable. They come complete with luggage storage and charging ports. However, the only problem is the general noise and occasional announcements in the airport area. It is a quieter section of the airport but not by much. Ideally, the pods would be better noise insulated (they are not really) and this could be a wonderful hotel alternative.
