Following the news and updates around the COVID-19 pandemic, many airlines were forced to suspend or reduce their daily operations. We have the latest information from airlines and hotels all around the world. We first saw almost all airlines cutting back on flights or completely stopping all service three months ago. As the pandemic started to slow down airlines are slowly rebuilding their schedules, putting out promotions, and most importantly – flying again. First, we saw Emirates resuming some flights, and now the UAE government announced that they will be allowing foreign visitors into Dubai again. In addition to Dubai opening its doors to visitors, the president of the Maldives announced that they will also open their borders for international passengers.
Dubai Welcoming Visitors Again
The United Arab Emirates has announced that starting July 7, 2020, they will allow foreign visitors into Dubai. At the end of March, the UAE shut down their borders to foreigners and grounded all air traffic. With the pandemic slowing down the country is slowly easing restrictions which includes restrictions on international travel. All Tourists will be required to present a recent Covid-19 negative certificate or undergo testing at Dubai airports. Those who test positive will be obligated to isolate for 14 days. Another requirement for tourists will be the Covid-19 DXB app and they should register their details.

Maldives Welcoming International Passengers
The Maldives will reopen its borders to international passengers on July 15, the island nation's President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced Tuesday.

As the Maldives move forward after the COVID pandemic, adjusting to a new normal and getting ready to restart the economy, the international border is to be opened for tourists on 15 July 2020. The Ministry of Tourism, together with the tourism industry is preparing for the re-opening and welcoming of tourists.
The tourism ministry announced a set of guidelines regarding tourist arrivals, to be applied once borders reopened. According to the guidelines thirty-day, a free on-arrival visa will be issued to all tourists with a confirmed booking for a stay at any registered tourist facility in the country. The entire holiday has to be booked at a single facility except for transit arrangements. Interestingly, there will be no mandatory quarantine or testing on arrival. Tourists will only have to complete a health declaration form.
