Hyatt will open 200 new hotels in the Americas

Hyatt has announced a big expansion to its Americas portfolio. In the big announcement, they said that they will open more than 50 full service and select service hotels in 2020 and another 140 hotels by 2021. They currently have 585 Hyatt hotels in the Americas, which is significantly less than some other major hotel chains.

Hyatt will open 200 new hotels in the USA

Hyatt has just announced that they plan to open nearly 200 new properties in the Americas by 2022, 50 new hotels in 2020 and 140 new hotels in 2021. The Americas region continues to be a top priority for Hyatt due to strong business demand. The growth of the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House select service brands remains a priority for the company. More than 100 facilities are expected to open across North and South America through 2022.

Hyatt’s Americas growth through 2022 further signals incredible strength in our brand among owners, customers, and guests across the largest region within Hyatt’s global portfolio.” said Pete Sears, Americas group president, Hyatt.

  • Andaz Palm Springs (Calif.), 150 guestrooms, Late 2020
  • Quirk Hotel Charlottesville, A Destination Hotel (Va.), 80 guestrooms, March 2020
  • Grand Hyatt Nashville (Tenn.), 591 guestrooms, Fall 2020
  • Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland (Ore.), 220 guestrooms, February 2020
  • Hyatt Centric Koreatown Los Angeles, 310 guestrooms, 2021
  • Hyatt Regency Frisco (Texas), 301 guestrooms, Spring 2020
  • Park Hyatt Los Angeles at Oceanwide Plaza, 184 guestrooms, 2021

World of Hyatt Buy Points Promotion

World of Hyatt has just launched its latest promotion on purchased points. This is also their first official promotion of the year. During this promotion World of Hyatt, members can earn a 25% discount for a limited amount of time, through February 29. World of Hyatt lets you buy up to 55,000 points per account per the calendar year. With this promotion, you could buy a maximum of 55,000 points at a cost of $990, which is a good price for World of Hyatt members. The cost of a World of Hyatt point purchased under this offer at 25% off is 1.8 cents each. You can apply for the promotion here.
