After my arrival with GulfAir, I took the transfer bus between the London LHR terminals to the Star Alliance Terminal. While I often dreaded this, now it was a very well organized transfer and it was almost completely empty. Security was empty as well and I was making my way to the Star Alliance terminal at London in record time.

The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is near gate B36. So far so good, but where is this gate? It took me quite a while to find the escalator and make my way along the long walkway. I felt getting to the 'other side' of the Star Alliance terminal was longer than the whole inter-terminal transfer.

The Air Canada Maple Leaf lounge welcomed me with very friendly staff and a great selection of food and drinks. I tried the espresso (there is a real barista and proper espresso maker in addition to the espresso machine), several different wines, the freshly grilled paninis as well as the pasta and cheeses (you can tell I was hungry).

I found most of the items were of good or high quality. The lounge was also not crowded and provided beautiful views towards the sunset over London.

The WiFi was rather speedy and easy to connect.

I thought this was a wonderful lounge -  on par with the [best Star Alliance lounges in the system](https://www.mightytravels.com/2014/06/turkish-airlines-cip-lounge-renovated-istanbul-review/).
