What you need to know about the Amex offers program
Almost every American Express card includes a benefit called Amex Offers. These offers give you huge discounts or bonus Membership Rewards points when you use your American Express card for purchases at certain retailers, restaurants, or services.
What is the Amex offers program?
Amex Offers are deals that are linked to your American Express cards, which can save you money or let you earn extra points. So the Amex Offers program provides cardholders with discounts at various stores, restaurants, or services, or, if not a discount, then chances to earn extra points.
These offers are always available, and new offers are updated often. But offers are only available for a limited time. You will notice that each one has an expiration date, so if you want to use that offer you should do it in the given window of time.

What cards offer the Amex offers program and how to find them?
Most American Express credit cards will come with Amex Offers. The exceptions are American Express corporate cards, gift cards, or prepaid cards.
You can see your Amex offers on your online account page, or by clicking the “Offers” tab in the app.
American Express Platinum Card
There's currently a welcome bonus of 60,000 points after spending $5,000 in your first 3 months. You can also get into more than 1,200 airport lounges worldwide, including Priority Pass, and we get around $1,500 in value from the card every year. You can also get up to $200 in Uber credits annually.
American Express Gold Card
This card earns 4x points at restaurants worldwide and 4x points at US supermarkets. It also offers a welcome bonus of 35,000 points after you spend $2,000 in your first 3 months and a $100 airfare credit per year.
A lot of business cards also offer Amex benefits:
American Express Business Platinum Card
You can earn 50,000 Membership Rewards points after you spend $10,000 and an extra 25,000 points after you spend an additional $10,000 all on qualifying purchases within your first 3 months. This card also comes with a welcome bonus of up to 75,000 Membership Rewards. It also gives you access to more than 1,200 airport lounges across 130 countries including the popular Centurion lounges and even $200 Airline Fee Credit.
American Express Marriott Bonvoy Business Card
You can earn up to 75,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points after you use your new Card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months. It also offers a free night award and a complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite Status.
Keep in mind that most American Express cards come with Amex offers program.
What offers can you expect?
The offers are available for only short periods and they look like this:
- Spend a certain amount of dollars, get a certain number of bonus points
- Spend a certain amount of dollars, get a certain amount of dollars back
- Get additional points for each dollar you spend at a select merchant
For example:
- Spend $250 or more at Best Buy, get 2,500 Membership Rewards points.
- Spend $500 or more at Hilton Hotels and Resorts in Europe, get $100 back.
- Get 1 additional Membership Rewards point per dollar spent at Staples.
