# My Favorite Priority Pass Lounges around the world

Not so long ago, the mentioning of 'Priority Pass' struck fear in most travelers. It was generally a Russian-style affair with a few carrot snacks, dingy lighting and seating in a remote part of an airport. However, clever entrepreneurs have found ways to provide great lounges for the ~$20 Priority Pass offer per guest and visit.

Here are my favorite Priority Pass lounges in the world:

**Colombo, Sri Lanka - Bandaranaike International Airport - [Lotus First Class Lounge](https://www.prioritypass.com/en/Lounges/Asia-Pacific/Sri-Lanka/Colombo/Colombo-Bandaranaike-Intl)**

I liked this lounge in [Colombo](https://www.mightytravels.com/2017/08/my-favorite-26-things-to-do-colombo-sri-lanka/) because of its extensive hot and cold food buffet and many drink options. It's also generally not crowded and the Internet works (not very fast though).

As a coffee addict, I was amazed by the barista churning out fantastic coffee drinks on request that all but exceeded my expectations. There is also a solid food buffet with my favorite Indonesian/Malayan layered cake desserts.

You may not like the food offered at the [Coral Executive Lounge](https://www.mightytravels.com/2017/12/thai-airasia-review-bangkok-dmk-to-saigon-sgn-and-the-coral-executive-lounge-dmk-review/) in [Bangkok](https://www.mightytravels.com/2015/04/top-15-things-to-do-in-bangkok-dont-miss-this-bangkok-guide/) but there is a good alcohol service and a free 15-minute Thai massage.

Technically this isn't a freewheeling lounge but the [Paris Star Alliance Lounge](https://www.mightytravels.com/2017/06/star-alliance-lounge-paris-review-charles-de-gaulle-terminal-1/) is open to Priority Pass members without time restrictions.

The hot and cold buffet is full of French delicacies and will make you forget the rather cramped space.

Come here if you have some time between your flights; it's quite far from any non-Star Alliance departure gate.

The [Sala Galdos Lounge](https://www.mightytravels.com/2018/01/canaryfly-review-las-palmas-lpa-to-tenerife-north-tfn-and-sala-galdos-lounge-las-palmas-review/) won't be a hit in the interior design style group and does not have much food to offer. But it has incredible views over the runway and toward the mountains. There is also an endless amount of white and red Spanish wines to taste. Come early and enjoy a perfect afternoon tanning and watching planes.

It has a solid food buffet (many veggies!) and tons of local wines to try.

Plaza Premium lounges can be downright horrific ([like in Hong Kong](https://www.mightytravels.com/2014/11/plaza-premium-lounge-review-hong-kong-airport-priority-pass/)) but also can be pretty decent (like in Kuala Lumpur) or excellent (like in [Phnom Penh](https://www.mightytravels.com/2016/11/vietnam-airlines-economy-review-phnom-penh-pnh-to-hanoi-han-vn920-a321/)).
