The Courtyard by Marriott Mexico City Revolucion is located a bit outside the trendy Mexico City neighborhoods of Roma and Condesa - it sits on their southwestern flank along the busy Avenida Revolucion.
The Courtyard by Marriott Mexico City Revolucion is located a bit outside the trendy Mexico City neighborhoods of Roma and Condesa - it sits on their southwestern flank along the busy Avenida Revolucion. While the immediate neighborhood isn't dangerous it is certainly a step down from safety level of Roma, Polanco and Condesa in terms of safety.
The Courtyard by Marriott Mexico City Revolucion is the former Radisson Mexico City Flamingos and during the re-flagging just a few details inside the rooms have changed. In the lobby just the branding changed.
Check-in was easy with the newly trained Marriott agents (my check-in during Radisson times was a mess).
Make sure you ask for a room looking towards the back of the building - those are very quiet usually and give a great view towards approaching planes to Mexico City Airport.
The Internet connection has big problems last time but the new Marriott guidelines seem implemented and I had access to exactly 8 Mbit without interruption during my stay.
The hotel does not have a pool but a gym and spa.
Marriott clearly has a better handle on most properties. Maybe it is the brand guideline book or it is just better enforcement - whatever it is this hotel seemed the same hardware but was perfectly managed this time.
