50,000 ThankYou bonus card, 60,000 Lifemiles bonus card, U.S. Bank improves redemptions and Qatar working on a revolution for Economy seat design?
– to be honest I wasn’t sure it was missing but you can sign up for the 50,000 ThankYou points credit card again
I cherish my ThankYou card and use it a lot. Keep in mind that you won’t get the sign-up bonus if you had any ThankYou points earning personal card in the last 24 months.
– the Avianca Lifemiles Banco Popular credit card have been around for some time but now the bonus code for the improved offers is back
Use LM17WB for the Vida card (40,000 miles) and the Vuela card (60,000 miles) after the first purchase.
I have been staying away from Banco Popular based on what I read. But Lifemiles are a great currency to get cheap Star Alliance awards with no fuel surcharges. Keep in mind that the annual fees for each card are NOT waived.
– good news if you have a US Bank Altitude or Flexperks card you can now redeem at the elevated 1.5 cents per point rate for ANY travel charge
The obvious reason most currencies do not allow that is that 1.5 cents is expensive for them and running it through their own travel portals gives them a lower cost (since many people give up or pay an inflated price).
– Qatar Airways CEO has announced the airlines’ plans to work on a much improved Economy seat and their interest in supersonic flights
Modern planes can (and should) accommodate Economy Class passengers in a way that corresponds to their travel needs. Most passengers travel more than before and should have a way to relax and sleep on their flights.
I have been looking into a number o promising concepts lately and maybe Qatar will surprise us too soon!
