Oman makes eVisa easier, Singapore merges Scoot and Tiger brands, Etihad goes 787 to Beirut , Firnas launches connecting UK – Bangladesh

– Oman keeps extending their eVisa options – but keep in mind that visas are now almost $80 (teh same as in Bahrain)

– Scoot has successfully merged the Scoot and Tiger Air brands

The Tiger Air brands will stay alive in Taiwan (owned 100% by China Airlines) and Australia (owned by Virgin Australia) though.

The airline will take over Kuching and Palembang from Silkair and add Honolulu service in 2018.

– Etihad is putting 787’s on the Beirut route – a great improvement compared to my less than ideal Etihad flight on a narrow body plane

– Firnas is a new airline that plans to connect the UK and Bangladesh a market that is certainly underserved – and now you can invest in their crowdfunding campaign

Here is a great introduction to the new venture.
