What’s the IHG Airline Employee Programme Rate?
IHG offers special discount rates for airline employees at more than 4,600 properties around the world, including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. This discount is not just for crew members – it’s for any full-time or part-time airline employees; you just need to book in advance and show your employee ID and a voucher when checking in.
The special airline employee rate is usually 25% off the Best Flexible Rate for bookings made up to 30 days in advance of your stay (though there’s occasionally special offers with different terms). Sometimes you can save more or less than 25%; as an example, right now you can save up to 25% at the following Hotel Indigo properties in Europe and Asia:
We checked availability and prices for a one-night stay for two at the Hotel Indigo Tel Aviv Diamond District on July 11th, 2017. When going through this link, the Airline Staff Rate is automatically applied (although you can select the rate yourself when booking directly on IHG):
Our one-night stay in July is priced at US $282.75:
We then checked the cost when booking on IHG without a special rate and the Best Available Rate came up as US $340 instead:
This means the Airline Staff Rate for this particular hotel on this particular date is $57.25 cheaper (saving 16.84 %). However, you can often save 25% or more, depending on the time of year, the property, local laws, occupancy and blackout dates.

What else do I need to know about the IHG Airline Employee Programme Rate?
Unfortunately, you won’t qualify to earn IHG Reward points when using this rate, so check that it will be worth the saving for you when booking.
You can book a maximum of 7 nights with this rate and the promotion is available for room bookings only (so not including packages).
A refundable deposit equivalent to the cost of a one-night stay is required when you make your booking online.
You must show your airline employee ID at check-in to qualify for the special rate. While it states you should print the voucher, too, this is not always enforced, but we do recommend it.
