Plane Spotting at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has gone through lots of changes and improvements recently. The International Terminal at LAX is now one of the best in the world.

One thing that did not change fortunately is the great plane spotting opportunity just outside the IN-N-OUT Burger outlet next to the runway. There is even 2 hour free parking if you bring your heavy photo equipment – right there.

I took the opportunity last week and arrived around noon in anticipation of the larger planes arriving at the time (the planes coming over the IN-N-OUT outlet are usually headed for the International terminal or Southwest/ Virgin Terminal.

I did not even have to open up FlightAware (to see incoming traffic) – there were plenty of well informed plane spotters right there who rarely miss a day of plane spotting.
