British Airways Terraces Lounge at Berlin Airport Review
Unfortunately, I had a rather disappointing lounge experience at Berlin Tegel, as well as a disappointing overall airport experience. Check-in at the airport was cramped, as were the immigration and security areas. There was also a long bus transfer in the cold.
The British Airways Terraces Lounge is a disgrace; there is no food and the lounge attendants behave like they own the place and want nobody to be there. Worse still, the lounge WiFi is consistently broken and the space just looks dirty.
Can you believe Air Berlin uses this lounge as their main lounge and one of their hubs?

Qatar Business Class Review from Berlin (TXL) to Doha (DOH)
Qatar Business Class has an awesome new 2-2-2 config on the A330. For my flight to
Doha from Berlin, it was about half full in both J and Y.

The seat on this aircraft is great for sleeping - like on a 787 but with less space and no direct aisle access. There's an easy-to-use entertainment system which does not have the fiddly remote
like on other Qatar flights.

The flights attendants were uber-friendly and knowledgeable, but the meals they served were a bit bland, though well-presented.

Time passed fairly quickly on this flight and after some sleep it was time to get ready to land. There was no breakfast service before we landed.

Even though there was a landing delay of 20 minutes, the aircraft taxied quickly to the gate and the boarding door opened right away; it was all very fast.
Disappointingly, the
new free transit visa policy for Qatar needs to be arranged 7 days in advance, and for award tickets (like mine) there's no transit hotel available from Qatar Airlines.
