The Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard

This Barclays MasterCard is one of our perennial favorite travel rewards credit cards. Read on to see how you can earn 40,000 bonus miles with The Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard credit card and how much this is worth in the world of travel.

The Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard – The Offer

The The Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite MasterCard credit card is offering a decent bonus of 40,000 miles when you spend $3,000 in the first 90 days, which is worth $400 when you redeem your miles for a travel statement credit. Travel statement credit redemptions start at 10,000 miles for $100 towards your qualifying travel purchase of $100 or more made in the last 120 days, so you could redeem your 40,000 miles for $400 off a purchase of $400 or more.

Barclaycard Arrival Plus™

There are more benefits to owning this great card, including:

  • The $89 annual fee is waived in the first year
  • Every time you redeem your miles, you get 5% miles back to use toward your next redemption
  • No foreign transaction fees to pay when abroad
  • Complimentary online FICO Credit Score access
  • Chip card technology

With this card, you earn 2X miles on all of your card purchases. There are no categories to contend with like most other cards and miles-earning is unlimited.

40,000 bonus miles – What you could redeem them for

A good value flight that you buy with cash will be a good redemption here, but you can apply the statement credit to any of these travel categories:

  • airlines
  • hotels and motels
  • timeshares
  • campgrounds
  • car rental agencies
  • cruise lines
  • travel agencies
  • discount travel sites
  • trains
  • buses
  • taxis
  • limousines
  • ferries

So, for instance, you could book a cheap flight and a bargain hotel deal that you’ve seen here on MightyTravels and then get statement credit back to your card for both.

Barclaycard Arrival Plus™

The minimum charge to redeem must be $100 (or 10,000 miles required).

Your bonus miles can also be redeemed for cashback statement credits, gift cards, and merchandise, but it’s much more worth it to redeem for travel instead with this card.

How can I complete the minimum spend?

Put all your regular spend on it and read our guide to manufactured spending. $3,000 in 90 days should be really easy!

What if my application was denied?

Did you know that almost all our applications get initially denied and eventually approved when calling the right reconsideration numbers?
