If you have been to the [Etihad Business Class Lounge in London Heathrow (Review)](http://www.mightytravels.com/2015/08/etihad-business-class-lounge-london-lhr-review/) the lounge in Dublin will be a major deja-vu. There is the same color code used and very similar amenities.

I went before my flight (which was scheduled to depart at 9 AM) and sat down in the restaurant area.

There was a menu of made-to-order dishes which were mostly eggs. Since I don't eat eggs I ordered one with the friendly request to leave the eggs out. This often creates utter confusion but the lounge attendants had no trouble at all to get me what I wanted. I also ordered espresso but thought it tasted 'soapy' and just bitter.

There is a separate self service buffet that had a number of good cheeses but also a number of low-quality and not very appetizing food options.

The lounge was rather crowded with a full Business Class in this 777 flight to Abu Dhabi. For the most part it was quiet though with most people waiting patiently.

I can imagine the food to be much better for lunch and/or dinner but I wasn't able to judge that.

I used the dedicated lounge WiFi which was rather slow at 2 Mbit - but certainly usable.

We boarded about 45 minutes late and the host came around to announce boarding with a friendly '..board whenever you are ready...'

Etihad staff takes customer service seriously and the lounge is pleasant. This is not a temple of gourmet food but maybe that would happen during the flight?
