American Airlines has come out of the closet with their plans to go revenue based

The earning structure looks much like on Delta and United (per dollar spend). They also introduced yet another elite tier and a minimum spend level per elite status. Now my fast track challenge looks like a ‘last call’ for me!

– T-Mobile is now offering one hour of free WiFi with Gogo

I’m a very happy T-Mobile customer as their free international roaming is incredible. Last year the company also gave free 10GB extra LTE data. However I sit on so many US Bank free Gogo vouchers I think I will never need that free hour.

Qatar Airlines keeps increasing their stake in British Airways and is massing forces with Meridiana in Italy and Royal Air Maroc in Northern Africa.

What do we learn? Qatar has deep pockets – and is ready to keep spending for a long time. Morocco is in a unique geographical position for flights from teh US to Africa and South America to Europe/ Middle East. It also shares a lot of Middle Eastern values – this could actually work!

Once the Meridiana situation has been resolved the Mideast giant will turn its attention to Royal Air Maroc, the Moroccan flag carrier, in which it’s seeking to purchase a 25 to 49 percent stake.

– Gary follows the story of Dan Futrell and Isaac Stoner who made it their mission to find the black box of the Eastern Airlines crash near La Paz – see what they found!
