On our way to Pa’peete we had the chance to check out the Admirals Club in Honolulu. Honolulu lounges (like the United Club Honolulu Review) aren’t grand affairs. Although the Admirals Club is also the lounge for JAL’s international flights to Narita the Admirals Club Honolulu is just checking the most common lounge boxes.
The club is located with almost all other lounges around the little garden area. It forms a rectangular circle (of course there no such thing but you will understand once you see it). The refreshments are in the middle and the seating area around it. There must be 150+ seats – it seems to get busy at some point. Only a few people were in the lounge at 3 PM though.
It felt it looked much like the ANA Lounge in Osaka – that can’t be a coincidence. I wasn’t really hungry since I just had had sushi outside the airport so I wasn’t mad about the very simple food options. Still soup and rice balls beat most domestic Admirals Clubs.
The lounge is good place to cool down on a hot day and use the WiFi and get some free water. That’s about it. Don’t expect too much!
