Turkish is a good airline and if you can match yourself to Star Alliance Gold Status you will like the lounge in Istanbul.

Wadi Rum and Petra

Amman is pretty close to two of the best ‘touristy things’ I have ever done – Wadi Rum and Petra. You will have an easy time organizing a day trip or overnight tour from Amman.

If you can get to see ‘Petra by night‘ which is less crowded and more ‘magical’ and cheaper.
