Vertigo and Moon Bar are two rooftop bars at the Banyan Tree Hotel in the Silom area of Bangkok.
After my visit to the Sky Bar, Lebua at State Tower last year, I wanted to try both Vertigo and Moon Bar.
The view does not get much better - you expect that from a rooftop bar on the 61st floor!
You can escape the heat of the day - which basically lasts all day in Bangkok. It is up to 20 degrees cooler at the top than at street level.
The drinks are pricey even for US price levels, so you wont get drunk too easily ;)
The atmosphere is awesome. However, the food fetches rather mixed reviews and costs way too much. I would not think about eating here myself.
