Marriott Rewards Megabonus Spring 2015 promotion – register now
I just logged into my Marriott Rewards account and registered for the MegaBonus 2015 spring promotion.
In the 'old days', the MegaBonus promotion was the same for most people – two Category 5 stay certificates for 4 stays during the promotion window. But here is what I got this time:
To earn up to 25,000 points:
Register by March 31, 2015
Stay at participating properties between February 1 and April 30, 2015
Earn 2,500 points on every paid stay, starting with your second stay, up to 25,000 bonus points
In the past, I was able to make good use of those Category 5 certificates in hotels with rates at $300+ a night.
But now with MegaBonus I can earn just 5,000 MR points per 2 stays. That's not much of an incentive for me to stay at Marriott.
On another note, I just got 20,000 Marriott Rewards points added to my account (my Chase MR card is 8 months old) – I can't find out why I got these extra points…
