Bloomberg is running a story about plans by Airbus to increase efficiency for the A380.

We have already seen the plans by Emirates to add more Economy seats which will surely happen. Now Airbus also considers adding winglets before making bigger changes.

What's surprising – the demand for the A380 has softened outside the multiple Emirates orders.

The European manufacturer is trying to rekindle demand for the A380 among airlines outside the Middle East, where the double-decker remains popular. The push comes after Deutsche Lufthansa AG canceled orders for three A380s and Air France-KLM Group, Europe's biggest airline, signaled it may drop two commitments.
