# Review: Doubletree by Hilton, El Segundo, LAX, Los Angeles

Last week I stayed for a night at the Doubletree by Hilton, El Segundo, LAX, Los Angeles.

The hotel is located within the LAX area and has a 24hrs complimentary hotel shuttle to the terminals.

Pros:

- the rooms are not exactly new but kept in good shape

- friendly staff at the check-in

- FREE parking (LA area hotels often charge $20-$45 for overnight parking)

- fast Internet

- good rates often around $100

- good, rather quiet location but still close to LAX

Cons:

- really mediocre breakfast

- feels more like a motel than a hotel

- rooms are old and a renovation would be great

- no lounge for Diamonds, Golds

Would I come back? I think the free parking is a draw and the hotel is acceptable if you just use it for sleeping. Otherwise I'll be searching for a nicer hotel next time.
