Aer Lingus is coming to San Francisco – great news for points collectors of Avios points. Why?
Aer Lingus has very low fuel surcharges in its fare structure. British Airways charges the full fuel surcharge for all award flights and partner airlines. Fees on British Airways flights booked with Avios points are some of the highest in the industry. Aer Lingus already flies from the East Coast but West Coast travelers did not have the opportunity to easily book award flights so far. This will change in 2014 and I'm looking forward to try their product in 2014!
